    Vounteer at scientific camps and clubs for children with VĚDA NÁS BAVÍ

    Would you like to fulfill a volunteering section in the newly created project oriented to science, children and education? Become a volunteer at VĚDA NÁS BAVÍ. During the summer you can participate of the Scientific Camps and visit museums, planetarium or ZOO with chidren. Moreover, during the school year you can help with afternoon clubs about science for children up to 12 years of age.

    Together to inspire children and youth for science

    In regard to our aim for an all-round development of the youth, we are going to connect with other non-profit organisations, whose aims and purpose we consider close to ours. For that reason, VĚDA NÁS BAVÍ, o.p.s., (“Science entertains us” in translation to English) has become our first affiliate. This organization stimulates interest for science and the whole world in children as well as young people through fun and interactive after-school activities.

    Prince Edward was not the only one who visited Prague in March with the aim to support the start of a new visual identity of the DofE Award. While the attention of the public was focused on the arrival of the royal visit, the National Office was occupied with the schedule of John May, the International Award Foundation’s Secretary General.     Prince Edward showed lot of enthusiasm and support to the DofE Award

    This was a big week for the Czech DofE Award family. HRH The Earl of Wessex, Prince Edward, the youngest son of Queen Elizabeth II, and his wife visited Prague and dedicated lot of their time to the Czech DofE Award Foundation. Thus many DofE Award participants, providers and support had a chance to shake the prince's hand and get motivated by some of his enthusiastic speeches.

    The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award has quite a long history in the Czech Republic. Yet, its name has not been much known around the country till now. What a great chance for us to spread the word and enhance the programme's name while using the new visual identity of the Award!
