DofE Award starting in Slovakia with the help of the Czech office

14. May 2015

Several volunteers have been working on The Duke of Edinburgh´s International Award (DofE Award) starting to expand in Slovakia as well. This effort has the support of the Czech National Office, which share with its experience with their Slovak colleagues and helps them prepare their strategic plans or training courses.

This year, Slovak DofE Award enthusiasts have undergone training in Prague for new DofE Award leaders. Now, in cooperation with the Czech DofE Award Office and International Award Foundation, they prepared the first international DofE Award training in Slovakia, taking place in Bratislava right now - on 14 and 15 May.

Some of the Slovak volunteers will also participate in events that are part of the visit by Her Royal Highness The Countess of Wessex, GCVO who is the worldwide ambassador of the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award. She will visit Prague at the invitation of the Czech National Office on 19 and 20 May.
