DOFE story

As a part of the Youth Day celebrations, the British Royal family allowed five DOFE participants from all around the world to take over their Instagram account. Canada, Kenya, Indonesia and the Czech Republic were among the chosen countries. The Czech Bronze Award Participant Tereza Stiborská was chosen for this important task. Tereza studies psychology and was in contact with people who felt lonely during the lockdown. There were many articles regarding the takeover in the Czech media such as Forbes, and others. There was also a news report on the global takeover in the BBC News.

Participants of the DOFE Club went for a trip to Brdy. They spent their time in nature not only picking up cranberries, but also planning autumn events. DOFE Club invites all participants and alumni to join them at the Picnic in Stromovka, which will take place on 16th September 2020. For more information, visit the DOFE Club social media and their website.

Our DOFE Expedition Centre organised four expedition weeks for participants over the summer. All in all, 86 participants wanderedthrough the area of Moravian Karst and Krivoklatsko Protected Landscape Area. The DOFE Expedition Centre is very happy that everything worked out well. The DOFE Online programme allows young people to participate in the programme even though they do not have DOFE at their schools or they could not attend an expedition with their classmates. We have already started to plan dates of expeditions for the next year and we look forward to meet our participants.
